Cathie has worked in care for over 25 years. She started her care career in Shropshire her home town. She moved to Basingstoke in 1989 and started working at The Loddon School as a day support worker and worked her way up to being Head of Care.

In 1995 Cathie opened Liaise Loddon Limited alongside Marion and the late Tim Cornick. In her role as Director of Care she supervises all Liaise homes with support from her area manager. She is also responsible for referrals and assessments for placements.

Cathie is a qualified PROACT-SCIPr-UK^® instructor, she has her RMA and her NVQ level 4 in management. She also has a NVQ level 3 in Training and Development.

Cathie’s intention were to come to Basingstoke and work at The Loddon School for 1 year, but was so impressed with the philosophy and the approaches used she set up home in Basingstoke, and continues to enjoy the challenges of her role as Director of Care for Liaise Loddon Limited

Cathie’s interests are reading and spending quality time with her god children.

I like the way we offer and encourage staff to progress in their careers and ensure everyone has all the training they need to ensure they can give our service users a excellent quality of life.

Spain.

What is the best advice you have been given?
Always be available to support and advice staff. Keep smiling and the world will smile with you.
