Benefits of working for us

We encourage staff development

We offer comprehensive induction, generous benefits and opportunities for extensive ongoing personalised learning and development. New staff members benefit from a detailed induction programme and attend a variety of required training courses, such as NVQ and LDAF. But although these courses provide invaluable foundation knowledge, we know that it is also essential to enable ongoing professional development that is tailored towards the skills required to work with individuals with such complex needs.

Accordingly, the continued development of each staff member’s competency is defined within a knowledge and skills framework. Assisted by regular supervision, each staff member is able to identify career pathways and realise their own personal professional aspirations, while enhancing the service they provide to the people for whom we care.

Alongside the basic statutory training requirements such as NVQ II in care and LDAF, all staff members receive extensive training relating to autism, epilepsy and other complex needs associated with learning disabilities and the support of people with severe challenging and restrictive behaviours.

It’s a lively, friendly working environment

Working in one of our homes may be quite demanding at times, but staff always assist and support each other, it is extremely rewarding, and great camaraderie develops within the homes because of the common goals and shared experiences – not only with fellow staff, but also with the residents.
